In June 2016 Sanan Redmond Wines moved into its own location in Buellton. After sharing winery space in the Santa Rita Hills, Santa Barbara and the Bodegas in 2014 and 2015, having our wine in four different wineries we are estatic to now have one home for our wines and our own space to work on our craft.

Once a year we have tastings when we invite friends and family to sample our workings out of our barrels.

Our 2016 vintage is a broad offering of the best that Santa Barbara County has and includes two Santa  Rita Hills Pinot Noirs, a Grenache, our Chateauneuf du Pape inspired Into Temptation blend, our 75% new French oaked Happy Canyon Cabernet Sauvignon, our first white, a tropical fruit rich, barrel fermented Sauvignon Blanc that is light in acid and a few more surprises to be released in December.

Our 2017 plans include a barrel fermented Chardonnay, Sacred Nectar (a sweet aperitif), Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon and a Sangiovese for J.R., Neil and Chloe’s newborn son.

Our new world style shows fruit forwardness that California’s weather offers, balanced with French oak barrels and use of our best barrels of wine for our premium blends.

I am truly appreciative that my fellow co-founders, Neil Redmond and Sebastian Miklowicz have encouraged and supported me in dedicating this mission to my late father who tutored me not only on fine food and wine but on how to live life to the fullest.

Neil wisely points out that our brand name is a dedication to our families and is not a direct reference to us as individuals. I speak on behalf of us both when I say that we feel a strong desire to honor those who guided us to be who we are today.

In 2014 we began fulfilling a long lived ambition of making wine by securing and managing a 3.7 acre vineyard of Syrah. Kyle Knapp joined us as our wine maker and generously sold us half a ton of sought after Ballard Canyon Grenache which paired perfectly with our Syrah to make 3 barrels of our 'Into Temptation Reserve'.

Once again Kyle offered a touch of his resources, a Rhone white varietal to help make 3 barrels of beautiful Syrah, our second wine for the 2014 vintage.

Yesterday thanks to friends that helped, we hand bottled 73 cases of Into Temptation and 73 cases of Syrah.

We are proud to say that our wines taste like no other. They are fruit forward, never over ripe and have the necessary bold finish and yet are incredibly smooth for their youth. We believe they are perfectly balanced between fruit and oak and we shall continue to strive for perfection by sourcing from local boutique vineyards.

In 2015, we secured 1.5 tons of Premium Santa Rita Hills Pinot Noir and 3.5 tons of Premium local Bordeaux varietals. Our mission for 2016 is to include Syrah and Grenache once again in our offering.
